![]() Best Slice CureThe best slice cure for most is the kind that doesn't make you think too much! So many people focus on the part of the swing that is wrong and they don't have any real advice on how to fix it. You know the kind of advice, it's usually from buddies you are playing with (who are really no better than you!)..."Hey, you're coming over the top, just come from the inside more"...Okaaaaaay, but HOW? Well, no one slice cure the best for everyone. Some people respond to different types of tips. They just seem to click perfectly in their mind, while other tips seem like rocket science and they will never ever make sense. In fact, sometimes people will say, "I can't do that", and they end up doing it anyway and having no clue that they are actually following the swing tip! Here are some of the basic slice cures to fix your slice quickly with simple tips. Best Slice Cure: Fix the Grip- One of the absolute easiest ways to cure the slice is to simply fix the grip. Most slicers of the ball have a "weak" grip. And of course most slicers of the ball don't want to listen any further than that, because they don't want to be thinking their golf grip is weak! But it has nothing to do with the strength of your arms or hands, it has to do with the amount of twist to the left your hands have when you grip the club. If your hands are twisted too far to the left, then the grip is considered "weak", if the hands are twisted too far right, then the grip is considered "strong". A weak grip will cause a slice, where a strong grip will cause a hook. So a very basic way to fix the slice is to just twist the hands to the right on your grip! Best Slice Cure: Fix the Swing Path- If you are a slicer, or when you are struggling with the fade, the swing path is usually cutting across to the left at impact of the golf ball. Therefore, during the downswing, the swing path is pulling to the left while the club face is pointed right. So we want to cure the slice by making the club swing along a path that is more out to the right, or straight toward the target, with a club face that is straight, or even pointing left. That way you will hit a straight shot or a draw. An easy way to fix the swing path is to just point your feet severely to the right. To the right? Yes! That will encourage your swing to follow an inside-to-out path, causing a straight shot, or even a draw. Best Slice Cure: Why Even Fix It? The absolute most basic way to cure the problems with a slice is, aim more left! Instead of trying to fix the dang thing, how about playing with it? Accepting the fact that you will hit it to the right, and gaining a little comfort in knowing the path of your shot every time? Okay, maybe some of you are thinking, yeah right! Okay, then try some of those other tips above. If this is not enough, why not get some professional online golf coaching courses. Or how about a golf swing training aid?
